Eldiar
The one above the celestial order
Eldiar is the origin of the ordered realm and the sole divine authority above angels and Archangels. He did not inherit a throne or conquer an older world. When nothing possessed shape, measure or direction, Eldiar awakened the realm and established the laws that allowed sea, land, sky and time to exist.
The First Light was his first act within creation. From it he formed the celestial host, appointing Elirion and Zaldor as the two great wardens of the mortal sky. Eldiar is therefore not one god within a competing pantheon. Every celestial mantle ultimately derives its purpose from him.
A ruler who chose restraint
Eldiar’s defining choice was not creation but restraint. As mortal settlements grew, he saw that constant celestial intervention would prevent them from becoming responsible for their own future. During the First Crown, he forbade angels from occupying mortal thrones and placed government in mortal hands.
That law did not mean abandonment. Eldiar formed the Veil, charged the celestial host with guarding it and ensured mortals received enough knowledge to defend the seals nearest their kingdoms. He intervenes when creation itself is threatened, not when one ruler merely wishes to defeat another.
Presence in the living realm
Eldiar is rarely seen directly. His will is interpreted through the oldest celestial laws, the testimony of angels and the continued balance between light and darkness. This distance has allowed rival kingdoms to disagree about worship while sharing the same basic history.
In the Fifth Age, Eldiar refuses to decide which banner deserves to rise. The old powers remain responsible for the Veil, but the unwritten history of crowns belongs to the people living it.
