Zalrith
Thertriun
The Dark Elf
Deloria
Lore
Born with though love by his father Midrirn Thertriun, a strong and mysterious figure, Zalrith was born a nomad, seeking for a safe place to stay. He grew up with a father that hardly gave him love, the only attention he got when they trained to be a great Swordsman, one that will surpass his own father. He also had much fun with his elder brother, Eldiar Alderon. They were different from each other, Eldiar was a normal elf like their mother Sylvara Alderon but Zalrith was a dark elf like their father. They missed their friends and a safe place. Along their journey, more nomads joined them, finding strength and unity in their shared struggles. It was then that the seeds of a kingdom were sown, a place that would eventually be known as Avelorn. A year prior to the creation of Valeros, Zalrith Thertriun and his father departed from the nomadic lifestyle and embarked on their own journey. They enlisted a group of dark elves and ventured off into uncharted waters, leading them to a dark and enigmatic island. Upon landing, they were greeted by soldiers with bows aimed at them. After a few days, they became citizens of the nation known as Kentra, which presided over the island and a few surrounding islets.
However, Zalrith’s father was not content with merely living under Kentra’s rule. Thus, he created an organization known as The Order of the Dark Elves, which sought to conquer the entire nation. They recruited more dark elves who already lived in Kentra, amassed weapons, provisions, and equipment in preparation for the attack. On the day of the big assault, the dark elves in the village made themselves ready. Suddenly, a group of fearsome demons descended upon them and attacked the village. The dark elves fought back with ferocity, but the demons proved too powerful. In the midst of the chaos, Zalrith witnessed his father’s rage and anger peak. Despite driving the demons away, it was too late to save Zalrith’s father who ultimately died from his wounds. Standing at his father’s grave, Zalrith felt a sense of responsibility to continue his father’s vision. He gathered the Order of the Dark Elves and assumed the role of Grand Commander of the organization. Swiftly, Zalrith conquered the northern part of the island including the smaller surrounding islets, but getting the southern part proved to be a much greater challenge. Kentra’s army stood firmly in the way, and day by day, Zalrith’s group and Kentra clashed in intense battles that lasted for weeks and even months. Eventually, Zalrith’s group gained more and more ground while Kentra’s territory became smaller. Seeing he was fighting a losing battle, the king of Kentra, Hasnor decided to retreat to a small island called New-Kentra in the south of the main island.
With almost the entire island under his control, Zalrith renamed it the Empire of Deloria and celebrated his triumph. The Order of the Dark Elves had become a strong and elite soldier group, feared by many. Zalrith’s father’s legacy and vision had come to fruition in the establishment of a new nation, and he knew that his father would have been proud. Nonetheless, challenges from enemies both internal and external still loomed, and Zalrith knew that his people would need to be ready to face them.
